Mental health is not a straight line

Recovery therefore looks different from person to person and is ultimately as unique as the individual.

“Not every story has a happy ending, ... but the discoveries of science, the teachings of the heart, and the revelations of the soul all assure us that no human being is ever beyond redemption. The possibility of renewal exists so long as life exists. How to support that possibility in others and in ourselves is the ultimate question.” - Dr Gabor Maté

Adam Labuschagne

Hi, I am Adam. By profession, I am a social worker with a specialization in substance abuse. But I am also an average, empathic person, finding my way through life, figuring out the challenging parts as I go along, and trying not to forget to notice and appreciate the joy and smile-worthy moments.

I am told by my family that it was evident from an early age that I would be in the helping profession, specifically social work. I guess they were onto something, and I am very pleased that they are right.

5 out of 5 stars

Adam is professional, with a lovely demeanour and warm approach to therapy. He is a straight-shooter, honest and will always have his clients best intrests at heart He has vast experience in the realm of addiction and is able to bring his nuanced understanding of recovery into the therapeutic space. His down to earth personality and his high level of empathy allows him to connect with his clients, providing greater insight and understanding.

Top-notch professional.
